Second Phase of the Camino de Ronda in Cap Salou
Salou. Costa Dorada. 31st May 2012. The mayor of Salou, Pere Granados, and the Councillor for Citizen Participation, Jose Maria Rodriguez, presided over the Council of Cap Salou Sector held at the Sports Centre in this area. The body was created to encourage participation among the City of Salou and associations and residents of the area gathered yesterday different proposals and needs of citizens and reported several items of interest. Among these, the mayor of Salou gave details of the Second Phase of the Camino de Ronda, expected to soon begin work on continuity of the track. The novelty is that this second phase will link to the site of the Cella, adding a new attraction to the path. This is an Iberian site, the third century, the most important of which are working in Tarragona and has great potential because it is one of the most important settlements of the Iberian Tarraco. Recall that phases two and three predicted a major expropriations in order to continue the project but to avoid major expenses for expropriation of property it was decided to reduce effects and change the route at certain points so that you can go ahead with the stretch that is until the Pine but with a significant cost reduction for municipal funds. Another point to be addressed is the reorganization of the road to enhance and facilitate the mobility and flow of traffic in this area. In addition, it was the conversion in single lane road to the lighthouse on an existing project. Local residents and organizations have to find the agreement to end at some point but is expected to soon be able to pull ahead. The Mayor also reported on the Coast Road Project promoted by the Council and on the start of these works. On February is finally approved this project to provide sidewalks and lighting the TV-3146 between the Pineda and Salou access to the lighthouse. In relation to the highway, it is expected the construction of sidewalks between 4.000 and 5.260 kilometer points. The first 285 meters of this section correspond to the municipality of Vila-seca and the rest, in the town of Salou. The type section of the road is a road of 7 meters, 0.50 meters of verges and pavements of varying width exceeding 1.80 meters. Among those attending the Council, the various representatives of the Residents Association Mirador de Salou, Sport Zone, Cap Salou, Salou Houses and Residents Association Pinosmar more residents who attend a private individual and participate.
