The 14th edition of freswave® Mitja Marató de Salou will debut new circuit

Salou. Costa Dorada. 05 April 2018. The next edition of freswave® Mitja Marató de Salou will be available next April 14 with important news. After 14 years of celebration of this sporting event, in 2018 you can choose between three rescorridos of different lengths. Thus, there will be a circuit of 5, 10 or 21 kilometers and it will be flatter, faster and more attractive than in previous editions. Attractive because it will pass through the area close to the sea and will go along Paseo Jaume I, Carlos Buiges and along the Miramar promenade, it will take the runners to Vilafortuny.

But there is still an important novelty: since unlike other years, the Mitja Marató will be held in the afternoon. The exit will be in front of the monument of Jaime I at 18 h. The delivery of numbers will be made between 16 and 17:30 on the Jaume I, specifically in the Plaza de les Comunitats Autònomes. Once the race is over, around 8.30pm, there will be the awards ceremony. Throughout the event there will be entertainment by a DJ from Europa FM.

Before the start, the youngest will have the opportunity to participate in a children's race that will start at 5:00 p.m. The inscriptions can be made in the departure area between 16 and 17 h.

The Councilor for Sports, Dani Lopez, has valued very positively "that we return to resume this race and at the same time extend the routes as this way brokers can discover new corners of our municipality." López wanted to thank the implication of Running Solutions and freshwave® in the organization of the event.

The freshwave® Mitja Marató de Salou will have different services for the participants: showers and changing rooms in the Salou pavilion, refreshments every 5 kilometers, career photos, medical assistance and a cloakroom.

Registrations can be done online through the website of the race www.mitjadesalou.com or in person at the store Roca Forada and Decathlon Vila-seca until Monday 9 April at 23:59 or until the maximum of enrolled.
