The Department of Employment of Salou promotes courses for youth training

Salou. Costa Dorada. 21 May 2018. The City Council of Salou returns to organize a new edition of the initiative "Fem Ocupació per a Joves", sessions that aim to train young people to start their working life. To the courses of auxiliary of commerce and attention to the public that began the past week, join now a new session on the basic tasks of restaurant and bar.

From the Department of Employment, has organized a new edition of the program "Fem Ocupació per a Joves", which consists of 2 modules, the first that was presented last week as a commercial assistant and customer service, with 10 students, together with the Merchants Association; and this second with the collaboration of the Hotel Association Salou-Cambrils-La Pineda (AAHH). In this second, an introductory course to the basic tasks of restaurant and bar that has 10 students enrolled is being carried out.

In this new training session together with the AAHH, the mayor of Salou, Pere Granados; the Councilor for Employment, David González; and the head of the Training Area of ​​the Hotel Association Salou-Cambrils-La Pineda, Jaume Orteu.

The mayor wanted to thank the AAHH for its collaboration in the training of these young people since it is very important to offer them an opportunity in the workplace. Granados, has valued very positively the synergies between the public sector and the private sector.

For the councilor of the area, David González, "it is important to transmit values ​​both personally and professionally and open new doors and new goals." González, added that "it is a training that includes both the training part and a work contract where they can directly apply the knowledge acquired according to the competences imparted by the sector itself".

For his part, Jaume Orteu, said that "it is a pleasure to collaborate with the City of Salou in this great initiative and a further sign of the interest of the sectors and the public institution to work for the good of the people, so that people can find work in a sector as dynamic as the hotelier ".

Remember that both programs are subsidized by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia and the Ministry of Employment and Security, in accordance with the "Fem Ocupació per a Joves" Program, regulated by Order EMO / 256/2015, as amended by the TSF Order / 212/2016, of July 29, Resolution TSF / 2937/2017, of December 14, which opens the call for the year 2017 for the granting of subsidies to carry out the actions of the Program "Fem Ocupació per a Joves "and Resolution TSF / 2936/2017, of December 1, which opens the early announcement for 2018 for the granting of subsidies to carry out the actions of the "Fem Ocupació per a Joves" Program.
