The theatrical festival COS2013 of Reus will include a contest of human statues

The group of Shops of the street Mayor of Reus has organised its 1st Contest of Living Statues, which will be included in the programming of the International Festival of Movement and Theatre , COS2013, that will be celebrated in Reus from the 17th to the 20th of October. The traders of the street Mayor show their  implication in this festival that this year already reaches his 16th edition. Since the department of Culture and Youth of the City council of Reus and since the organisation of the XVI International Festival of Movement and Theatre COS has received positively the proposal of the traders of this street and has valued it an opportunity to open even more the festival to the citizenship. The artists selected by the jury will be able to act during the days of the festival to the street Mayor, and have foreseen three prizes for the three better.

Referent in Europe
The festival COS goes back with strength to the stages and streets of Reus between the 17 and the 20 of October. Altogether, they will offer 23 representations to charge of 15 companies that will fill the theatres Bartrina, Bravíum, Fortuny, Orfeó Reusenc, Sala Santa Llúcia, Theatre of the Baix Camp and the square Evarist Fàbregas of movement and theatre.

Besides, the programming of the festival includes a course of formation thought for students of theatre, actors and actresses, to be given by the company Emanuella Amichai Dance Theatre. During the festival also is foreseen that it present the European Union of the New Popular Theatre, an association that aplega festivals, schools and companies of theatre, that does his the principles included in the Manifest of Reus elaborated during the COS 2010 and that has as a purpose give a new impulse to the popular theatre.
