La 6a edició del "Gastrotour Salou 2017" deixa uns grans números amb la participació d'una seixantena de restaurants i la degustació de més de 100.000 tapes. El consistori va fer l'entrega dels premis de la edició d'enguany que va coronar com a guanyador el Rock&Grill Café.

Del 3 al 6 de setembre Salou celebra la festa del rei en Jaume I per a commemorar la conquesta de Mallorca als sarraïns pel monarca en 1229, quan va partir amb els seus vaixells des del port de la capital de la Costa Daurada. Aquest any, el programa inclou com a novetat un "mapping" que explicarà aquest fet històric, a més d'altres espectacles musicals, un mercat medieval i una ruta gastronòmica.
