Light Source / Font Lluminosa

This source is located at the end of Paseo Jaume I, a unique walk both day and night and can see every day in summer a wonderful show of light i water combinations. This fountain was created in 1973 by engineer Carles Buigas, who also created the source Montjuïc in Barcelona. The lights and their games can reach the 210 combinations in shifts of 90 seconds for 5 hours would need to make the entire program. 

It is a source that has an important symbolism for the city and for many years has been a distinctive and symbolic point of attraction of the municipality. This source was remodeled in 2011 replacing the corrugated tubes for a stainless steel lights bulbs by other speakers and LED technology to encompass the fountain show.
