Finishing the renovation work for 79 light points on the carretera de la Costa

The works on improving the public lighting of the stretch of the road of the Coast between the roundabout of the Far and the Replanells highway have been put an end to the works that are being carried out since last month of December. Due to its antiquity, a considerable part of the columns had a state of advanced corrosion, and also the illumination provided by the set of fluorescents, which was insufficient for both pedestrians and drivers. The budget for the award of improvement works has meant an investment of 58,733 euros. The Councilor for City Maintenance, Maria José Rodríguez, explained that "the objective of this replacement has been to minimize light pollution while also allowing energy savings through the application of lighting systems , equipment and lamps of higher performance, as well as improving the aesthetics of this area, "he pointed out.

The performance has affected a total of 79 light points distributed in 2 control panels. Of the total number of light points affected, the column, luminaire (2x36W fluorescent screen), lighting equipment and the current lamp (fluorescent 2x36W) have been changed by 75 for high pressure sodium vapor technology. At the four remaining points located at the Replanells roundabout in 10m column, only the lighting equipment and the previous Mercury Steam (VM) lamp have been replaced by high pressure sodium. However, the fluorescents mounted in the same columns have been changed to 3.60m for 18W led fluorescents.
