This summer 2021, if you wonder what to do in Salou, don't worry: the Salou City Council has prepared more than 30 free musical, sports, cultural and festive activities to enjoy your holidays in the capital of the Costa Dorada. Salou presents its gastronomic agenda Salou Food Experience 2020 in Madrid. In this way, the capital of the Costa Dorada begins to consolidate itself as a quality gastronomic tourism destination, especially after the first Michelin star achieved by Deliranto's chef, Pep Moreno.

From October 24 to 27, 2019, Salou and the Costa Dorada will host the scoring event for the rally world RallyRacc Catalunya-Costa Daurada. This is the only mixed rally in the world that combines dirt and asphalt. It will cover almost 1,300 km and the organization expects to exceed 190,000 spectators last year.

The humor, music and costumes related to the annual Cós Blanc parade make up a program of the Salou Winter Festival, which this year offers more than 70 free acts. El Cós Blanc premieres prizes in this 2019 edition for the best costume, the best float and the best comparsa. 

The mayors of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez, and Pere Granados, from Salou, unveiled a commemorative plaque that "certifies" the twinning of the two municipalities and which has been installed at the entrance of the capital of the Costa Daurada. The roundabout that connects Camí de Cavet and Carrer Ciutat de Reus is the place chosen to show the panel with the name of the two cities, showing this "friendship".

The plenary session of the city council of Salou approved last July the twinning of the municipality with that of Calvià, in Majorca, to which joins the history related to King Jaime I.

The City of Salou has invested 4,200 euros in the purchase of material and vehicles for the Police of Beaches, in charge of monitoring the coastal area of ​​the municipality. This police unit works from the Jaume I police station, which serves citizens every day from ten in the morning until eight in the afternoon.

The Local Police of Salou has signaled several parking areas controlled for the celebration of the Coso Blanco, in anticipation of the very high number of vehicles that will arrive from neighboring municipalities. The car parks will be easily and quickly accessible and will be located in the following places: the parking of Paseo Jaime I, Carles Roig car park and the car park on Berlin Street, as well as another one around the Elisabeth-Vial school in Cavet and the new free parking deterrent Emprius.

The City of Salou presents the program for the cultural week of St George's 2017, which highlights the change of location of the traditional roses and books stands in the Paseo Jaume I.

Salou host this Sunday, May 11, 1.200 triathletes participating in the Extreme Man Salou. The Man Salou Isostar Extreme presents a cyclist in this edition to a return closed circuit, a circuit to swim 1.900 meters and 19.5 miles on foot.

Salou is open for the eighth consecutive year, the facilities of the station, beach visible from the Jaume I promenade and located right next to the square of the Autonomous Communities. The beach police station is open daily and all summer from 11 am until 7 pm.
