L'abstenció dels quatre regidors del PSC a l'Ajuntament de Salou i de tres regidors de la FUPS, entre ells l'alcalde, Pere Granados, va facilitar que el ple celebrat a Salou aquest passat dilluns, 9 de abril de 2018, aprovés per un sol vot de diferència una moció a favor dels presos polítics.
